International Wedding Alps - Destination Wedding France

This sweet international wedding in the French Alps took our breathe away! We faced many challenges such as the blend of different cultures and traditions (and a ceremony in three different languages!), and we loved every minute of it!

The bride is from Hong Kong, the groom is French, they both live in Switzerland. This long distance and passionate love story took us to this sunny summer day. Tracy et Nicolas chose the Château des Girards, near Grenoble, French Alps, to celebrate this special day. They enjoyed, along with their international guests, the peaceful atmosphere of a mountain wedding, and the stunning views over the Alps.

We planned every detail of the day with the bride and groom from a distance, and our exchanges were exclusively in English. As they came to France only a few times before the wedding (venues’ visits, caterer’s tasting…), it was reassuring for them to know that everything was taken care of by a local wedding planner.

The outside ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the bride and groom’s cultures. Traditional music blended perfectly with symbolical rituals and readings in no less than three languages (French, English, and Chinese!)! A very international wedding indeed!

The bride and groom’s love story pointed toward a travel themed wedding, with a vintage and colorful design. We had a lot of fun incorportating all these little details throughout the day. From the “welcome on board” sign to the globe as a wedding guestbook, stamps for the boarding pass invitations, vintage luggages as a wedding urn…

Sarah truly knows her job, she is trustworthy, and does the maximum for you and for the D-day. My wife does not speak much French, and it was essential for us that she could talk with our wedding planner. That went absolutely perfect with Sarah, as her English is impeccable.
